The 2-Day Weekend That America Enjoys Is Actually A Fulfillment Of A Biblical Prophecy,
That
Messiah's Rest Would Be "Glorious".

(Isaiah 11:10 KJV)
"And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse,
which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek:
and his rest shall be glorious."

(Hebrews 4:1 KJV)
"Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into
his rest,
any of you should seem to come short of it."

The Disciples First Learned Of Jesus' Resurrection On A Sunday.

This Is Why Church Attendance Is Traditionally Kept On Sundays,
Which Is The First Day Of The Week In Israel :

(Matthew 28:1 KJV)
"In the end of the sabbath,
as it began to dawn toward
the first day of the week,
came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre."

(John 20:19 KJV)
"Then the same day at evening, being
the first day of the week,
when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews,
came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you."

Other Reasons For Church Attendance On Sundays :

1.  Meet On Sunday To Be Encouraged Through Preaching -

(Acts 20:7 KJV)
"And upon
the first day of the week,
when the disciples came together to break bread,
Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow;
and continued his speech until midnight."

2.  Meet On Sunday To Pool Our Resources For God's Work -

(1 Corinthians 16:2 KJV)
"Upon
the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store,
as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come."

Instead Of A One-Day Weekend, Where The People Only Rest On Sabbath,
America Has A 2-Day Weekend.

This Has Been A Blessing That Christians Have Enjoyed
Ever Since The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ.
